American actor and director Johnny Depp presented on Tuesday in Buenos Aires his film 'Modigliani, three days in Montparnasse', which will be released in theaters in Argentina this Thursday. Surrounded by bodyguards and without making statements, the 62-year-old Depp greeted his fans at the door of the cinema in the capital's Palermo neighborhood, where the film's premiere was attended by local celebrities. Directed by Depp, 'Modigliani, three days in Montparnasse' tells the story of seventy-two hours in the life of Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920), known to friends as Modi, in 1916 as he wandered the streets of Paris, devastated by World War I. On Wednesday, Depp plans to travel to the city of La Plata (50 kilometers south of Buenos Aires), where he will be declared a 'distinguished visitor' and received by the mayor of the capital of Buenos Aires province, Julio Alak. Afterwards, the actor, famous for his role in 'Pirates of the Caribbean', will give a masterclass open to the public at the Teatro Municipal Coliseo Podestá in La Plata, along with Scamarco. Starring Italian actor Riccardo Scamarco and featuring, among others, Al Pacino, the film premiered at the 72nd San Sebastián International Film Festival on September 24, 2024.
